17.12.2009TISHMAN INTERNATIONAL’S SOFIA AIRPORT CENTER AWARDED BEST IN INDUSTRIAL BUILDINGS AND LOGISTIC CENTERS IN THE 2009 BUILDING OF THE YEAR NATIONAL CONTESTTishman International Companies, a leading international commercial real estate developer, along with GE Real Estate-Central and Eastern Europe, have been awarded Best Industrial Buildings and Logistic Centers for Sofia Airport Center in the 2009 Building of the Year National Contest.
The official award-giving ceremony and gala dinner was held December 15, at Kempinski Hotel Sofia. The event was organized by Stroitelstvo Gradat Weekly with the support of the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works as well as various real estate organizations. The contest awarded the best Bulgarian architectural, construction, town-planning and investment practices. The award recipients were selected by a jury of Bulgarian and international architecture, investments, town-planning, consulting services and business professionals.
Tishman International launched Sofia Airport Center (SAC), an international-standard working environment, with a vision of enriching the country’s economic environment and creating a Western-European-style development.
Sofia Airport Center’s Logistic Center consists of 3 high quality warehouse buildings. Logistic Buildings one and two have 10 meter clear ceilings and warehouse space with both drive-in and floating ramp bays. Logistic Building three has a 10 meter clear ceiling and 3+/- meter warehouse space. All three warehouse buildings have floor capacity of 5 tons per square meter, skylights, a fire sprinkler system and gas heating.
The multilevel office portion of the Logistics Center has separate granite entrance lobbies and passenger elevators serving all floors. Technical, electrical and data rooms are present with fiber optic cabling designed to meet voice and data transfer standard requirements. Each building is designed to meet an open flexible office layout. Secured onsite access to both loading and parking areas for truck and car parking is provided. Closed circuit TV cameras are placed along the perimeter and in the lobbies and are monitored by onsite 24/7 security personnel.
